Supporting the community and creating local partnerships are very important to us at BigShots Golf!
We make an active contribution through staff fundraising, the donation of golf vouchers to local community groups and schools, and we support a key local charity each year through our Charity of the Year scheme. Our chosen Charity of the Year for 2024 is, St Luke’s Hospice. St Luke’s do fantastic work within Harrow, Brent and the wider community, giving high quality, compassionate, palliative care to those in the last phase of life.
INCLUSION AT BSG
At BigShots, we believe in inclusion which
is why carers always play free with a paying
disability card-holder or sunflower lanyard
holder. We also host weekly sunflower hours where we remove sound effects and turn off our music across the venue, and it’s also half price gameplay during these times!
In June 2023 we were awarded a dementia friendly venue certification, following our staff having completed dementia-fiend training, looking at access on site and making our venue more accessible to everyone.
CHARITY OF THE YEAR
Our chosen Charity of the Year for 2024 is, St Luke’s Hospice. St Luke’s do fantastic work within Harrow, Brent and the wider community, giving high quality, compassionate, palliative care to those in the last phase of life. This year we will fundraise, collect gifts for those in St Luke’s, give our time to attend local community events with St Luke’s and provide complimentary spaces and refreshments for their meetings, team training and volunteer thank you days.
We also support The England Golf Trust (EGT), an independent charity that provides grants, bursaries, and general support for aspiring young golfers from disadvantaged & financially
challenged backgrounds as well as hosting fundraising activities around the venue.
